To hoist the Cup...

Meningsmålingene viste at 36% av dere trodde at Penguins skulle vinne Cupen, og 46% trodde Geno skulle bli MVP. Vi kan jo ikke ha rett på alt! Det var heller ingen bombe at Crosby var tidenes yngste captain til å løfte Lord Stanley.....

-Bill Guerin:"thank god for Max Talbot" (etter å ha vunnet sin første stanley på 14 år)

-Kris Draper: "Nick [Lidstrom] was waiting and waiting, and Crosby didn't come over to shake his hand,that's ridiculous, especially as their captain, and make sure you write that I said that!" (etter at Lidstrøm hadde gått i garderoben..sutring?)

-Marian Hossa:"That's life,I still had a great year in this organization with great guys, great people around. It could go both ways, one goal could've made a difference. Sometimes that's life.
"I don't regret it. It could be different circumstances if I signed with Pittsburgh. They probably would've signed some other players and been a different team. We could sit here for hours discussing this. It could've been a different team, so I don't regret it."

-Sidney Crosby:"I would have loved to do it in four (games), it would have been a lot easier on the nerves. It was so hard watching the clock tick down for that whole third period. But everything it took to win, we did it, you know. Blocking shots. Great goaltending. Different guys stepping up. I mean, we did exactly everything it takes to win. We're really happy with the result. We've been through a lot."

-Brooks Orpik: "We heard all these stupid stats about how a team hadn't done 0-2 since 1971 or something and all these other Game 7 stats. But I thought we just did a good job of blocking all that out and staying confident the whole series."
